Our Goals:
Our goal is to provide young women in the United States and around the world the opportunity to experience unique leadership training and then support their leadership efforts. The Foundation continues to target communities and regions in which the opportunity for organized leadership training is missing. We aim to also support organizations with similar philosophies toward leadership and sports.
Due to the generous contributions from corporate sponsors and individual benefactors, the Foundation has funded more than 561 scholarships for young women to attend the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy (the “JFSLA”). Since its inception in 2006, the Foundation has also nurtured a unique seed-funding grant program to support young women in their efforts to create and implement their own leadership service projects within their communities.
